Enkele weken geleden zag ik deze prachtige foto’s passeren. Die plum kleur trok mij aan en ik vond deze geweldig staan bij die mooie modellen en celebreties. Ik bekeek mijn enorme stash van lipsticks aandachtig en zag dat deze bepaalde kleur ontbrak. Waarom heb ik geen donker paars? Zou het mij staan? Deze is toch belangrijk om te bezitten in je lipstick stash? Ik kon me niet bedwingen en kocht een prachtige plum, donker paarse lippenstift van Maybelline. Ik vertel jullie mijn review over deze plum lipstick.

ENG | A few weeks ago I saw these beautiful pictures passing through. This plum colour drew me immediately and I found this colour so gorgeous on those models and celebreties. That’s why I took a closer look to my enormous stash of lipsticks and saw that one colour was missing. Why didn’t I got a dark purple? And would this colour suit me? I couldn’t resist so I bought a gorgeous plum, dark purple lipstick from Maybelline. I’ll tell you my review about this lipstick.

Het eerste wat me opviel aan deze lippenstift, is dat deze vrij donker en intens van kleur is en wat shimmer bevatte. Dus vrij mat is deze lippenstift niet echt, maar heeft een glanzende finish. De lipstick is vrij boterachtig en smeert zich zeer goed over mijn lippen. Qua duurtijd blijft hij goed zitten, maar net als vele lippenstiften gaat hij wat af als je iets eet of drinkt.

ENG | The first thing that I’ve noticed is that it has an intens, dark colour and contains some shimmer. So this lipstick is not mat at all, but has a shimmer finish. It is very creamy and smooths over my lips. It stays almost for a couple hours, but such as all lipsticks, when you drink or eat something the colour slowly fades away.

Mijn ondervinding: Ik had nooit gedacht dat deze donker paarse kleur mij zou staan. Ik heb een vrij bleke huid, dus ik vermoedde dat zo’n kleur voor mij te hard zou zijn. In tegendeel, het staat me geweldig. Nu moet ik nog wat spelen met verschillende oogschaduw kleuren en ik kan hiermee een fantastische herfst look creëren. Ik kijk er alvast naar uit!

My experience: I never thought that this dark purple would suit me. I have a pale skin, so I suspected that such colour would be too hard for me. In the contrary, it suits me beautifully. Now, I just have to play and discover which eyeschadow colours would fit with this lipstick and than creating a fantastic fall look.

New Gel nails fall look

Heeey allemaal! Twee weken geleden heb ik voor de eerste keer gel nagels laten zetten. Ja, erg hé? Ik heb dus nog nooit gel nagels gehad. Waarom niet? Gewoon, omdat ik een nagelbijter ben en nooit behoefte had om lange nagels te hebben.
Aangezien ik geen nagels heb, heeft C. mij tips aangebracht. Ik vond het zo raar dat ze deel van mijn nagelriemen wegknipte :O Maar blijkbaar moet dit, zodat ze heel de tip op mijn nagel kan aanbrengen en men nagel beter kan groeien.

Ik moet eerlijk zijn, ik heb toch wat afgezien. Hier en daar heb ik wat gebloed, maar dit is waarschijnlijk de straf die je krijgt als je aan je nagels bijt. Uiteindelijk was het resultaat wel mooi, maar ik heb er toch aan moeten wennen. Lange nagels hebben is moeilijk, zeker als je een gewoon cola blikje wilt openen. Ik kon zelf niet een muntstukje oprapen van de grond. Toen pas had ik bang om een nagel te breken :O Onderaan het resultaat. Ik koos voor een licht grijze kleur, wat ideaal is voor een herfst look. ENG | Hi everybody. Two weeks ago I did my nails for the first time. Yes, I am little ashamed. I never got gel nails. Why not? For the simple reason that I am a nail biter. Also I never felt the need to have long nails. Given that I have no nails, C. applied tips. I found it scary when she removed a part of my cuticles, but apparently she need to do this, to apply the tips and it is better for your nails to grow faster.

I have to be honest, I suffered. Some blood here and there, It was almost a murder scene! And afterwards applying some alcohol, aauuuuww…. It was painful, but this is my punishment for biting my nails, I think. Finaly, the result was nice, but I needed to get used to it. Having long nails isn’t very easy, especially when you want to open a coke can for example. I even couldn’t pick up a penny of the ground. So, below you can see the result. Just a light grey color, good for a fall look, I think. Next time I would choose a more warm red or brown color. Price: €30
